Tom White (b. 1995, UK) is an artist based in London. White’s practice is rooted in his long-standing fascination with people and painting the figure, and with the question of how an artist can capture the essence of their subject. Rather than painting a photorealistic representation of a person, White’s work explores how the materiality of paint can be choreographed to portray a sense of character.
White holds a MAFA in Painting from Camberwell College of Arts (2021).
